About Gary Crouch
Gary began his art career at age 19 when he received a commission for two acrylic paintings of
14th century armor. In 1969 he was drafted into the U.S. Army and assigned as a medical illustrator at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas and later as a combat illustrator in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, and a Presidential Citation. After his military service he returned to a career in commercial art, design and illustration with commissions for magazines, advertising and Fortune 500 companies such as Xerox, American Airlines, Sony and Johnson & Johnson.
In the late 1970s Gary painted a number of wildlife paintings, producing limited edition prints that were sold on the national market. Along the way he developed an interest in the heritage of Texas and the United States.
"If we don't make sure that the generations to follow understand their heritage and the uncompromising principles of their forefathers then the very foundation of truth will continue to erode bringing forth a general sense of lack of direction for our future."
Gary resides in Burleson, Texas while continuing in fine art and commercial art; creating art prints of historic interest, corporate literature, logo designs, illustrations and educational literature and posters for Biblical teaching.
